New Web Player

Hey all... as per new things coming to AH .. a new web player was one of them :)

- Player is HTML5 compatible with flash fallback (if your browser does not support html5)
- Works on Mobile, Tablets etc
- Volume var
- On air links to the thread for discussions
- very slick (iPhone / Android style that we have)

The new player will take some getting used to, but thankfully there’s a handy tutorial to teach us how to make our way around it. (The embedded video shows off the tutorial. If there’s an ad there, don’t yell at me; I’m not in charge of that type of thing.) Nice to see Howard Stern so prominently featured—there’s an entire button dedicated to the man! News, Talk, Entertainment, Sport, HOWARD STERN

One question though: For me the player does not output any sound (at work), regardless of what browser I use (tried latest Firefox [nightly], latest Comodo Dragon [=Chrome], IE 9 and Opera Next). :confused:

Since I have to use the firewall friendly entries in the pls over here I suppose the web player does not work as expected when behind a firewall.

:hmmm:Opening the Web Console (Nightly Ctrl+Shift+K) in the player confirmed the fact. When pressing play it shows the following error:

Since I think that I won't be the only one encountering this, I would greatly appreciate a solution?:bully:

seems that there is still an issue involving
Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff355324.aspx).

If I try o enter http://ru.ah.fm:443/;stream/1 directly, Forefront TMG claims that the format of the received response is unsupported (original text: Das Format der vom Server empfangenen Antwort wird nicht unterstützt).

Unfortunately this is also true for http://us.ah.fm/;stream/1.

According to this site this is an intended behavior: :chair:
Forefront TMG (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd440976.aspx#BKMK_Malwareprotection)

However, if I open the player in a browser which is not set to automatically detect network proxy settings, the player actually works. :music:

After all, no chances for our other listeners behind TMG other than asking their admins to unblock ah.fm.

Hi everyone. I noticed that player is different than the one we have on our website a bit bigger. I like the small one we have.good stuff guys
