I wish I was working. I got laid off in December, along with 860,000 other Americans. There are 13,000,000 of us now. 500,000/month. :(

They say it will continue for another full year. I'm over 50. I don't have a prayer. I've applied to 200 jobs and and have not got one call or email back. I'm going back to college and finish my degree. I can't work, I might as well. The WIA (Workforce Investment Act) will pay my tuition and books. Since I'm on unemployment, I'll qualify for a Pell Grant for my living expenses. Between that and unemployment and my cashed in 401(k) (which lost 40% in the crash), I should be okay until I graduate. I hope this will be over by then and I can get a decent job. As long as life endures, hope lingers. (kiss) :hug::hug::cat:
