The opening track from our universally acclaimed Anjunadeep:02 compilation earlier this year, Jaytech & James Grant’s ‘Moth’ distils everything that is great about the Anjunadeep label into four and a half minutes of laidback, slow-burning euphoria and sun-sparkled, sensuous groove. Throbbing along on an infectious, disco-fried bassline that lulls you into a state of calming bliss instantly, ‘Moth’s journey through gently uplifting piano keys, washing pads and soft-focus melodies is as effortless as it is euphoric. A deep, groove-fuelled masterpiece.
On the remix, German production star Martin Roth turns in a respectful re-imagining of the original’s blissed-out states. Upping the tempos slightly and adding some classy synth melodies, Roth’s magic, slightly more proggy version is caught beautifully between the sunny, melodic house of the original and classic deep trance, but with a totally fresh sheen.
