Swedish talent Claes Rosen is known to be a man of great melodies and grooves - his acclaimed tracks have not only been appearing on Silk, but also Add2Basket, Discoteca, and Sick Watona. Silk Sofa is proud to present his new release "U", which features three of his downtempo goodies. First up is "Autumn", which starts off with delicious bell riffs and other intriguing tweaks. The soft beat establishes a smooth and calm groove throughout the track,
while the piano hook adds texture to the other lush melodies.
"Ivory Bells" quickly introduces a few beautiful sounds that together form an outstanding atmosphere. The main piano line, as well as the sweeping pads underneath, unite brilliantly with the groovy synth riff and percussion line. Later, a genius guitar melody appears, adding even more harmonics to the tune.
Finalizing this package is the title track, "U", which includes a rather enjoyable female vocal. Many rhodes lines form the base of the song, and further synths appear on top that are varied to a large extent. The breakbeat and bassline add great rhythm, while the female vocal continues to dominate the melodic content of the track.
