Arana
Founder and resident DJ of the monthly Wobble parties at Cielo and the Sorted parties at Stay, Arana has quickly built a reputation as one of NYC's most dynamic and versatile DJs by weaving together energetic, tightly-executed sets of musical house and techno for the dance floor. He's currently focused on his upstart tech-house label, Wobble Music, based in the Lower East Side (and sometimes moonlights as a corporate lawyer).
Sean Cormac
A veteran of NYC nightlife, Sean Cormac is behind several, successful, long-running events; Stimulus Response, Re:Fuge and now, Forward Disco (with Nocturnal Soul). Having grown up on a steady diet of legendary New York venues, Sean was exposed to a variety of music and atmospheres that would come to set a precedent for what is expected from nightlife. These early experiences have proven to be the foundation for what his events aim for. The signature element of Sean Cormac’s set is diversity. Ranging from the deep and lush to percussive drenched textures; Sean’s selections cover multiple eras of music as opposed to staying exclusive to only that which is current. His versatile style and programming have given him to the opportunity to play a wide range of events with the likes of Radio Slave, Tedd Patterson, Todd Terry, Charles Webster and many more household names.
Nocturnal Soul
Although the duo of Nocturnal Soul are both born and raised in New York, it was on the white isle of Ibiza that these two DJs first met. Nocturnal Soul have been influenced by a variety of sounds but continue to maintain their commitment to the underground. Never content to simply mix two tracks together, Jon & Alan have embraced today’s technology and are constantly looking for new ways to sound unique and fresh but still maintain balearic sounds that have influenced them. Nocturnal Soul have brought their sound to places around the globe, with recent dates in Ibiza, Croatia, Peru & Mexico, as well as playing in various venues across NYC, including Cielo, Love, Sullivan Room, Porch and Stay. 2011 is an exciting year for Nocturnal Soul. Alongside Sean Cormac of Stimulus Response, they have created “Forward Disco” - which continues to showcase some of the finest underground talent in a no rules environment.
Chris Luzz
Definitely no stranger to dance music, Chris has been in and around the NYC club scene for over a decade. Chris is known for playing at notorious hotspots including Sullivan Room, Stay, Love & Porch. Chris has had the opportunity to grace the decks with house heavy weights including Kruse & Nuernberg, Nic Fanciulli, Dave Angel, Jody Wisternoff & more. Recently Chris has had his share of success with production partner Kev Obrien. The pair's first productions together appeared this spring on Fresh Meat Records and Save Room Recordings. With upcoming releases lined up on labels Loco Records, UM Records & Cromarti with support from some of the best taste makers including Jamie Jones, Robert James, MANIK, & Shur-i-Kan; Chris sure has a bright future ahead of him.
