Profile: musician, songwriter and music teacher. Nai player, born 6 April 1941 in Găeşti, Romania. He received more than 90 golden and platinum disc awards and sold over 200 million albums. Active since 1960 till the present day.

Zamfir is known for playing an expanded version of the traditional Romanian-style pan flute (nai) of 20 pipes to 22, 25, 28 and 30 pipes to increase its range, and obtaining as many as nine tones from each pipe by changing the embouchure.

He is widely known as "Zamfir, Master of the Pan Flute".

composer and performer : ranks 1 and 2 to me. Any DJ is 3rd at most: only when remixing...

A composer can produce his creations very well without any of the numbers 2-4 :wink:
A performer's performance depends on a given composition. Yet a performer can do without a remixer or a DJ

Lonely Sheperd... that song is used in my contry for when someone dies... interesting mix, got me to think, maybe that mix is the song I'd like to be accompanied by in my last trip ever...
