For over 3 years, Silk Digital has had the privilege of working with Polish sensation Kobana. Now with dozens of celebrated releases to name, including the recent hits "September" [Proton] and "Woosh" [Anjunadeep], Kobana returns to our parent label with "Hear The Colors", a release that includes three brilliant remixes by a trifecta of rising progressive talents: Matt Fax, Oleg Izergin, and Dapple Apple.

The Original Mix is as visionary and "colorful" as fans have come to expect from Kobana. The listeners are teased early on in the track, as the main theme flirtatiously enters the mix, while a quintessentially meaty Kobana bassline follows suit in a slow crescendo. Suddenly, the beat drops out, and the euphoric main theme is left on its own. An incredibly emotive experience follows, as the melodies begins to crescendo and swirl. For those of us who have had the privilege of hearing Kobana's music on large dancefloors, breakdowns like this inevitably become set highlights, and it's our great hope that this one is an equally moving experience for you.

We are delighted to bring rising French artist Matt Fax to Silk Digital for his debut appearance, as he has burst onto the progressive scene of late, with a flurry of sophisticated tracks that belie his youth. His remix starts with an energetic beat, punctuated by a variety of synth stabs and high octave arp lines. In the main break, the top layers drop out, as a powerful bass energy takes hold of the tune. Soon thereafter, the jubilant arps re-appear and ultimately combine with the low end for a juicy drop.

Next up is Russian talent Oleg Izergin, a consistently excellent contributor to Silk Digital for over two years now. In one respect, Kobana has met his match Izergin: both are equally adept at creating masterfully processed basslines, notable for their dynamic subs, into which you can really sink your teeth. The rolling bassline of Izergin's interpretation here is truly brilliant, and, amazingly, he gives equally meticulous attention to the mid-range elements and atmospheric touches. Izergin highlights his new melodic variations, samples, and other effects in the main break, which sets up a roaring, dancefloor-killing drop.

Finally, fellow Ukraine Dapple Apple, our resident "Silk Textures" radio show host and label standout, has hopped over to our parent label to balance this release with a deeper take. As to be expected, he infuses the track early with a a subterranean bassline, as "aquatically" sparkling and smooth arp lines glisten overhead. A man who has never failed to create a lush soundscape, Dapple Apple continues his legacy with another truly euphoric cut, in which the listener is levitated (or perhaps submerged?) into a utopian world.
