Hi everyone,

My name is Iqy. I am from Vancouver, Canada and I have posted a link below, along with a tracklist to a exclusive set I put together for Afterhours.fm I invite everyone to have a listen and please feel free to leave any feedback. Good or bad. :)

A bit about me.. I am from Vancouver, Canada and my style of play is geared mainly towards, trance, uplifitng trance & progressive. I am currently playing on a few different stations/sites. I have a weekly show titled 'Trancefixation' which I play on tracklists.ca, digitalvibes.net and on urtrancezone.com. I was featured on ETN.fm in Feb 2006 and was recently back on ETN.fm on November 15th as a guest DJ on Suzy Solar's show 'Solar Power Sessions'. I would love to share my sounds with the listeners at AfterHours.fm and am looking forward to launching a brand new show 'exclusive' only to AfterHours if all goes well.

Hi dereklangold,

It looks like you have been following my shows. That is nice to hear and am glad you are enjoying my shows. My AfterHours submission set is a brand new 'exclusive' set I put together last night for my residency application here on AfterHours.

Hey Derek I was having a look at this thread. Me and Iqy have worked together musically in the past. Good to see he has found his way here. And you're correct in saying there is some great work here :)

- boring boring was my first impression - also my second imp -
- didn't like the intro on its own and also didn't like it
droning on in the background for a long time - then it got better -
its actually a very good track - in fact I reviewed it earlier today
on another set and it was great

(Discount Rhino Rucky Dubber Mix) [Organized Nature]
- much better - a reasonable version - listenable without having
to slash your wrists to put yourself out of your misery
like the first version.

- good just - great music when vocal was finished

gonna play 1st 2 tracks again now I am in a better mood. Nearly the same
reaction but second version a lot better on a second listen.

This set is very good - sound is excellent and the mixing is great
IMO - I include a note below for the mixer on the relative merits
of remixes I hope they will be accepted in the manner they were intended,
only to help.

Just to prove a point on relative mixes.

Below is my review of the track on another set today- who's mix? that
doesn't matter its the remix in the ears of the listener that matters.

(Kuffdam and plant remix)

brilliant track - with same brill beat and sound

Thanks for the review m8. I'm glad you enjoyed the mix. And thank you for the candid and thorough review. I've gotten mixed reviews on the intro tracks. Some absolutely love it...while others are like... no. lol It's all good tho. Personal tastes I suppose. Hopefully the guys here at AfterHours will get a chance to listen and offer up an opportunity to play. Would love to burn the airwaves up with my style of tunes for AH.fm Cheers and peace to ya m8.
