Future Focus presents: Future Focus Night #2 !!
Monday December 3th 2012
On Friday, April 5th 2013 the Future Focus Recordings label and the artist management office Future Focus Bookings will celebrate their biennial anniversary dubbed “Future Focus Night” in Amsterdam’s premier venue Escape, who has reserved two intimate areas - Lounge and Studio - to shine a warm light on one of Trance’s hottest brands. Right before the celebration of A State of Trance 600 breaks loose in Den Bosch, the only €10,- Future Focus Night party makes sure this legendary Trance weekend in the lowlands starts of right.
The Future Focus imprint is managed by Dutch DJ/Producer Ernesto van de Meij (previously of Ernesto & Bastian R.I.P.) and Aussies duo Stuart Mathewson and Sasha Vatoff (musically matched as Binary Finary). Since starting Future Focus in 2011, an astounding 30 releases have become dance-floor favourites and the artists roster covers many different nationalities and sounds. The broad sound of the label is receiving more and more appreciation from all over the world and several producers and Djs have put a major spotlight on the label.
Even after the sold-out Future Focus birthday bash at the Amsterdam Dance Event, there’s still more enough to celebrate in this two area party in the Dutch capital. An exciting combination of Trance, Tech-Trance, and Techno will highlight every aspect of Future Focus Recordings and Future Focus Bookings.
U.K. Trance master Nick Sentience will turn the dance-floor in a psychedelic leprechaun land with mushrooms to the ceiling. Open your mind for some uplifting tech-trance, straight outta Heaven!
With a few gigs here and there, the former half of Ernesto & Bastian is now playing an important part as the talent guide & artist manager at Future Focus. However, if deck experience was measurable in meters, Ernesto could claim a length of dozens of marathons.
When Markus Schulz asks for a remix and album, then your sound is a-okay. Tune in to the weekly radio-show AfterBurned, listen to the boss release ‘Afterburned’/’ID Frenzy’ at Cold Harbour Red and check the previous pearls from Aerofoil at Future Focus Recordings.
Alex Fisher is also in a high-speed elevator to the stratosphere, thanks to a whole slate of dead hot productions at labels like High Contrast, Reset and Spinnin’. It’s not for nothing he’s getting support from AAA radio-shows and icons like Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk and Markus Schulz.
Clay C Clayton Coleiro A.K.A Clay C was born on the sunny island of Malta, one of the busy bees from the rock touching down at the Escape venue to show his Maltese skills. Having his first release back in July with Switch and just delivered his Poison Drops EP on Future Focus Recordings.
Hailing from Milan, Future Focus star Amedeo Gaspari is also producing for Trance powerhouses like Armada and Spinnin’, receiving support from Tiësto, Sander van Doorn, Markus Schulz, Armin van Buuren and more. Amex’ monthly podcast ‘The Mixed Sessions’ is also highly recommended.
On the verge of his twentieth anniversary as a DJ, the Italian veteran Yves de Lacroix has begun his second youth. This Future Focus artist has reached the top ranks with awesome released tracks at Armada called ‘Close to the Stars’ (teaming up with Fabio XB) and (Will I’ (co-opting with Steve Brian).
Thanks to some very successful collabs at Future Focus - including Binary Finary, Fisher and Pulse & Sphere - British heavyweights Alpha Duo has made dance-floors worldwide stand up and take notice. The previous ‘Wildcard winners of the A State Of Trance 550 Anthem’ have been making dance-floors shake for four years already.
Espen Gerhardsen & Geir Alertness come from the deep dark north called Norway to bring light into the Escape. With ‘Paradigm’ and ‘Armageddon’ they made a big, fat mark for themselves in the Future Focus catalog, but also their ‘Euphoric Sessions’ radio-shows has been melting many snowmen.
Jay Junior gives some musical counter pressure at Future Focus, for him the honour to open the night with his Tech-House / Techno drenched in Funk and Groove. ‘Artfully Blended’ is the name of his monthly podcast, while he’s also being noticed with, amongst others, ‘Proski’ (collabing with Arturo Silvestre).
Privilege is flying out of Cyprus towards the lowlands to make his debut in Dutch. This DJ/Producer is an absolute Trance God at home, that seems to have spun the decks at every square meter in the country. Privilege is ready to rock Amsterdam for the very first time.
