Swilow & Diamans are a new Russian trance duo and are releasing their first official collaboration EP New Life / Sky. Swilow got inspired by the likes of Paul van Dyk, Tiesto and Armin van Buuren in 2007 and later started producing his own tracks. He has had a busy year in 2012, releasing several uplifting progressive trance tracks. The fresh EP with Diamans is a blasting package of driving melodic trance suitable for any uplifting sets. The melodic themes and harmonic development have the kind of epic quality that makes trance so illustrative, like a musical painting. Despite that both of the tracks are essentially melodic works, they differ quite a lot in character, thus giving a good contrast for a two track EP. 'New Life' has a more emotional vibe to it, with that certain beautiful delicacy of slight melancholy. The breakdown is just what one would expect from a track like this - a refined build up to a high intensity kick off. 'Sky' on the other hand has a more pounding trance sound with a strong main theme in the lead. Swilow & Diamans have made a compellingly good job with their first collaboration, definitely leaving anticipation for more.
