Silk Music looks back upon the celebrated discography of Russian phenom Arthur Deep with "Arthur Deep 01", our fourth retrospective artist compilation. Arthur inhabits a special place in our hearts, as he was one of the original inspirations for the creation of our imprint in January 2008. A great friend of Silk Digital & Textures label manager Max Flyant, Arthur was featured in 4 of our first 6 releases, including our debut single "Summer Day". Over half a decade later, he continues to push the boundaries of EDM with his work, drawing upon influences as diverse as downtempo, techno, deep house, and progressive.
This compilation features various standout Arthur Deep tracks from the past 5 years: from the aforementioned "Summer Day" remix, a collaboration with Mango, to his acclaimed work under his "Shiftone" alias. The twelve selections on Arthur Deep 01 remain as some of the proudest moments in our label's history.
