From South Korea comes ejambien, the latest addition to Silk Sofa's artist roster. This EP, entitled "Backstage", showcases three varying downtempo cuts with comforting soundscapes.
First in line is "Reason", which introduces a fairly intriguing breakbeat, as well as soothing synth stabs in the background. A memorable theme riff emerges later, which is supported by numerous well-crafted melodies. Introduced by a tranquil guitar line, "Tragedy Of A Plethora" includes hypnotizing pad layers, a slow, haunting beat, and an extremely deep bassline. Countless guitar elements appear throughout the song, providing extra texture to the soundscape. The outro song, "And Then I Realized...", contains a combination of soothing pad lines and background textures. A subtle guitar melody and eclectic sound effects enhance the overall atmosphere.
