Silk Textures welcome talented duo Lanvary, whose last contribution to our label collective was on Silk Digital, with a standout remix of Derek Howell's "Stride". Their first EP with Silk features two lush and deliciously deep tracks.
The release kicks off with "Verboom", which centers on a gentle, yet hypnotizing bassline groove and atmospheric pads. The rhythm begins to pick up steam, as various outer-worldly effects spice up the soundscape. In the latter half of the track, late-night pads emerge as the most prominent lead elements, in addition to a male "narrative" voiceover. The B-side, "Rocky Rubble", is an even deeper affair; once again, there is an oscillating sub-bass layer that guides the listener's journey. A vocal stutter effect adds more texture, as well as a variety of Lanvary's signature dream-like pads.
