Barzek & Jethimself, hailing from Australia and the USA, present a glorious two-track EP to our parent label. Part of a new generation of melodic progressive house artists, this exciting new duo has a special talent for melodic, soulful, and often romantic compositions.
The lead track on the EP is "Everest", which, all puns aside, is a rewarding journey through a beautiful progressive landscape. In addition to the euphoric lead chords, a string arrangement in the breakdown transports the listener to the spiritual oasis of the Himalayas. This cut is paired with "Genesis", which was already previewed on our recent Silk Royal Showcase 04 release. Evocative instrumentation, with a clear Asiatic influence, highlights this emotionally nourishing gem.
