San Francisco's legendary Dubtribe Sound System rarely performs in the US anymore. Deep Space is proud to be one of the chosen to present this legendary house music duo of Sunshine and Moonbeam Jones, back to Cielo.

Of notoriety, Dubtribe released 1993's 12" single "Mother Earth." the single was frequently quoted as being a major influence in the origins of the Chemical Brothers, DJ Icey, and many other breakbeat producers of the 1990s. Reaching the bottom of the UK Dance charts, included on hundreds of dance compilations, and remains a commonly sampled record.

After their time with BMG/Jive Records where their latin house and deep house sound was included on hundreds of dance compilations and dj remixes, they moved over to Defected. In 2001's Do it Now', intended as the final Dubtribe Sound System recording, found itself in the hands of the UK Dance Music Guru Simon Dunmore of Defected Records Ltd.. Dunmore and his staff created a worldwide phenomena from the song, and gave it a five-year life span in turntable and charts all over the world. It remains by far Dubtribe's most popular and well-known recording.

DEEP SPACE:
Deep Space, is an adventure into future dub, spacey vibes, and abstract grooves featuring resident DJ François K. live on the mixing board with special guests.

Since the party’s launch in 2003, Deep Space has featured a who’s who of well known and then emerging artists from around the world representing a stunning array of musical styles that Deep Space is known for integrating into its open minded aesthetic. While the mission of Deep Space remains committed to sharing a love of dub, a vast, under-appreciated musical direction, the party has invited a great range of guest artists to share their creative dub mixing approaches to all things spacey, psychedelic and mind-bending.

From dubstep pioneers such as Mala, Goth-Trad, and Digital Mystikz, to house, techno & disco icons such as Giorgio Moroder, Dimitri from Paris, Theo Parrish, Rhythm & Sound, Ron Trent, Carl Craig, Joe Claussell, Derrick May, to cutting edge producers and tastemakers such as Gilles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs, Mr. Scruff, DJ Spooky and dub legends such as Adrian Sherwood with Pinch, Mutabaruka and U-Roy, and Brazilian icons Otto with Carlinhos Brown and plenty of live musical and dance performers, Deep Space continues to be a magnet for attracting many of electronic dance music’s most innovative artists. Almost all of the guest artists who play at Deep Space create truly one-of-kind, crate-digging "Deep Space sets."

Deep Space has been presented abroad at the Big Chill Festival (UK), Plastic People (UK), TDK Cross Central Festival (UK), Space Lab Yellow (Japan), Café Jamaica (Japan), Precious Hall (Japan), Phase (Japan), throughout France, in Berlin, Denmark, SONAR Festival in Barcelona and across the U.S. In 2010 Deep Space received a dedicated night at Burning Man’s Disorient camp.
