Iconic Deep Space party moves to Sundays
NEW YORK, NY – On Sunday, April 10 Deep Space the legendary weekly party, will move to Sundays at club Cielo. The party, awarded as the “best party in New York City,” with “best resident dj” François K. will also be celebrating its anniversary, after running the party every Monday at Cielo for 13 years.
Deep Space features dj’s, musicians, dancers and poets who represent a breathtaking range of styles celebrating dub’s impact on so many forms of art. The party encourages the creative use of technology in the mixing booth and on stage. Dj’s are invited to play signature “Deep Space sets” which are notably eclectic, spacey, and imaginative, while drawing dancers onto the club’s floor.
“Since Deep Space first started back in 2003, one of our main goals has consistently been to function as a platform to share my excitement for futuristic, dub-influenced music, as well as to create an outlet for talented DJ’s and performers across the board. From an endless list of seasoned veterans to debut appearances from up-and-coming talent, we’ve made it our mission to bring their unique artistry to fans. While we’ve had a fantastic run doing so, it also felt as if there was a whole segment of our public who for whatever reason could never make it at such late hours during the work week. For this reason, we’re tremendously excited to announce that Cielo has invited us to move into this new Sunday slot. We feel that this will make it far easier for everyone to attend, while allowing us to keep providing all of the special musical surprises people have come to expect of Deep Space. We’ll be there for you every Sunday! “ - François K.
