Avatar Help!

Okay. I had an avatar that was 100x96 at 28.2kb just a few minutes ago ( I took it off to change it for another one) and now, it comes out at 60x56 or whatever. I looked at the Simpsons avatars and they are at 100x something. How come I can't load up an icon that is 100x9s when:

1. I had one before that was the 100x96 size and

2. The Simpsons avatars are available at 100x something.

i saw it. but mine seems to be the right dimensions (56x56) am i missing something?

Is it a jpeg file? I was having problems with loading up PNG files and all.

My avatar is a jpeg. BUT, it has to be less than 19.5kb in size.

When you go to the "edit avatar" section of your profile, you can see at the bottom what the restrictions are for like, file sizes, dimensions and all.
