Axee – Digital Connection
Axee was born in 1984 in Romania and live since day one in Timisoara, a very multicultural city and environment. As a child, I came across a type of music, which sounded very different to what you would normally hear on radio back then. It was electronic music, it was Jean Michel Jarre, it was Oxygen, it was revolutionary, it was love at first sound. At the end of the ‘90s when I first had access to the internet, I came across two songs, which made me fall in love with trance music, Cosmic Gate – Exploration of Space & PPK – Resurrection.
Then came Armin & A state of Trance, then Above & Beyond and Trance Around the World, then the small kid who fell in love with electronic music decided to try his chance behind the decks.
I started DJing as a hobby, for my friends, but things grew rapidly and in less than 3 years, I started playing gigs for the Romanian Trance Family, playing along familiar faces on the Trance scene: Factor B,
Exolight, Suncatcher, Bogdan Vix and The WLT. I also started a radio show, which was initially aired just on a streaming platform. During the pandemic I branded my show “Digital Connection”, because it was the only type of connection left to the outside and Afterhours FM took me and my show on board.
Since 2020 then you can listen to it every 4 th Saturday of the Month. Pandemic changed everything, DJ-ing was not possible anymore, so for a person in love with music, there was only one option left, start producing! And that’s what I have been doing for the past 3 years, the journey is long, tough, but if you listen to my show, you might just hear 3-4 of my own productions,
currently unreleased, or ID as they call them. As everything slowed down during the pandemic, so did my taste in bpm and although trance melodies remain the best, I’m currently looking up to artists like Marsh, Matt Fax, Paul Thomas, Yotto. As a private person, I enjoy practicing and watching sports, travelling around the world and going for parties. Tune in now Live
