Songwriter, and composer tyDi — one of the most respected names to emerge from the global trance and electronic music scene.
Born Tyson Illingworth in Mooloolaba, Queensland, tyDi discovered electronic music at an early age and began DJing as a teenager. His talent quickly took him from local competitions to international stages, and at just 16 he won the Brisbane DJ Wars. In 2008, he became the youngest artist to top Australia’s InTheMix Top 50 DJs poll.
His career has included releases on Armada Music, international tours, collaborations with renowned vocalists and musicians, and multiple acclaimed albums. His 2011 album Shooting Stars reached No. 1 on the iTunes Dance charts in Australia, Canada and the UK, while his work has continued to move beyond traditional trance into progressive, house, songwriting and cinematic composition.
