andY – Timetravel
andY at the age of 15 in 2002, my love for trance music was ignited by a DJ set played by Nu NRG, titled “Live@Orgasmotron,” which was introduced to me by a close friend. The combination of thumping bass and uplifting melodies instantly captivated me and sparked my curiosity to explore the genre further. I decided to pursue mixing myself, so I purchased CDJs and began learning the art of DJing.
After overcoming a steep learning curve, I started producing decent mixes and playing local gigs, in addition to starting my radio show on Afterhours. While pursuing my studies, I continued to perform at smaller gigs mainly in Austria and Germany, which was always a fun and exciting change from my bedroom DJ setup. I was even honored to open at the official Afterhours meeting in Den Bosch, a few hours before ASOT 600. Nowadays, my focus is primarily on my radio show, where I aim to deliver the best in uplifting trance every month, providing an immersive listening experience for electronic dance music enthusiasts.
