Ben Starmore – In Session
Ben Starmore, from a very early age dance music has had an impact on me. Robert Miles – Children would be the first trance track I remember in the late 90’s. By 2000 I was hooked, I’d spend all my money I had on cds, ministry of sound cds mainly.
Trance nation 3 i still play to this day with so many iconic tracks. Another set of albums out at the time were euphoria albums, an orange one came out named Hard House Euphoria by Lisa Lashes. That sound blew me away, first track was Public Domain – Operation blade (bass in the place) which was massive in the charts at the time and gave dance music that extra oomph. In 2002 a purple euphoria was released, again with Lisa lashes mixing it.
This is where Hard Trance came in. Well this was a match made in heaven, Lee haslam – music is the drug & Guyver – Serious Sounds we’re the 2 stand out tracks.
I think the realisation of life getting on gave me the epiphany to get into producing. The age of 30 was vast approaching and I wanted to learn properly.
Back in 2019 I stumbled across an advert for Steve Allens mentoring. Steve Allen is a fantastic producer with such a high standard and everything he produces is quality. He instantly identified the areas I needed to work on. We have worked together for the last 5 years now and without his guidance I wouldn’t be where I am now.
Since 2022 I have had releases on the mighty Tidy Two, Defiant Digital and Redux Recordings with more releases planned in for 2024.My monthly residency here on After Hours FM will be a show with my take on the best in high energy Trance. Uplifting, Tech, Hard and
everything in between.
I will also have some exclusive material straight from the studio. Join me in what will be an epic journey
