Binary Ensemble is a duo project of two hardcore music lovers, musicians and DJs Sandeep Sen and Deeptayan Banerjee from Kolkata, the City of Joy in India. They have produced music in the array of Trance music, a sub-genre of Electronic Dance Music, and have garnered supports from DJs like Aly & Fila, Paul Van Dyk, Roger Shah, Johan Gielen, Dave Pearce, Bobina, JES, Alex M.O.R.P.H., M.I.K.E. Push, Alexander Popov, Woody Van Eyden, DJ Feel, Daniel Kandi, Sean Tyas, Allen Watts, Manuel Le Saux, DJ Photographer, Elucidus, Farius, Rene Ablaze, Dan Stone, Roman Messer, Tycoos, Suncatcher & Exolight, Alex Wright, Steve Allen, Yoshi & Razner, Ori Uplift and many more.
The project started in 2018 when Sandeep and Deeptayan sat together and decided to create a musical story out of their utmost love for Trance music. Their debut track Bhaavna came out in early 2019 on Beyond The Stars Recordings and later on they went on to release more music on renowned record labels of the scene like Magic Island, Always Alive Recordings, AVA Recordings, Regenerate Records, HeavensGate etc. and have almost 30 releases including originals, collaborations and remixes.They are known for their style of warm and subtle introduction to the story followed by a lush and mysterious breakdown, leading to the unexpected climax!
