NicholsonCast – Trance For The Harder Generation
Renowned London born and bred producer Carl Nicholson is set to captivate audiences worldwide with his new radio show, ‘Nicholsoncast,’ airing every 2nd Saturday of the month from 18:00 to 19:00 CET. The show will be hosted on the esteemed radio channel ‘Afterhours FM,’ which boasts an impressive roster of residents including Markus Schulz, Talla 2 XLC, Manuel Le Saux, and many others.
With a musical career spanning over two decades, Carl Nicholson has firmly established himself as a pioneer in the UK underground dance scene. From the early nineties, he has honed his craft alongside industry figureheads such as Tony de Vit, Fatboy Slim, Paul van Dyk, and more, leaving an indelible mark on the scene.
In 2013, after his 20 domination of the Hard Dance scene, Carl decided to embark on a new musical journey into the fast-growing world of trance music. Under his trance alias, he has achieved remarkable success, signing with renowned labels such as Vandit, Future Sound Of Egypt, Perfecto Fluoro, Flashover, and Magik Muzik, to name just a few. His incredible talent has garnered support from the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, and Paul Van Dyk, solidifying his position as a respected artist in the trance community.
Carl Nicholson’s achievements extend beyond the studio. His tracks have consistently graced the Beatport Top 10 chart, with his hit single ‘Melody’ reaching the number one spot on Ferry Corsten’s Flashover Recordings. His remix of the legendary Jam & Spoon track ‘Right In The Night’ also claimed the coveted number one position. Furthermore, Carl’s album ‘Reverent’ achieved the number one spot on the overall genre chart on Beatport and iTunes Dance chart within just one day of its release in 2020.
As a testament to his talent and versatility, Carl Nicholson has performed as a resident DJ for the Flotation parties at Egg London. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, he has continued to connect with his global fanbase through captivating live streams for well-known brands in London, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Auckland. Notably, he has also crafted remixes for Binary Finary, Tony de Vit, Quench, and Jam and Spoon, among others.
