Resolve – Pure Ascent
As a part of the music scene, Resolve – Pure Ascent has influenced many aspiring DJs.
It all started in 1993, when a 10-year-old Resolve unwrapped ‘Best of Dance 93’ and a lifelong love affair with dance music began. From playing Out of Space by The Prodigy and Open Your Mind by USURA on repeat, to discovering Ministry of Sound Annuals and Trance Nation compilations, his journey was set in motion early. After teaching himself to DJ on belt-drive decks, Resolve saved for a set of Technics 1210s – decks he still swears by today. Influenced by the iconic Radio 1 sets of Pete Tong, the emotive trance of Lange’s Drifting Away, and the sun-soaked sounds of Ibiza, his passion for mixing trance tracks that emotionally connect with people has never faded. Resolve is technically adept with advanced digital DJing on the latest club-standard gear, performing live mashups and multi-deck mixing, bringing a fresh perspective to how trance music is played.
As Resolve – Pure Ascent continues to evolve, he remains committed to his roots in trance music.
Over the years, Resolve earned his stripes on the UK circuit, supporting acts like Chase & Status, DJ Fresh, Stanton Warriors, M-Zone and Octane. He was a DJ competition finalist at both Birmingham’s Custard Factory and the Movida Corona Worcestershire regionals in the mid-2000’s, and held residencies at respected underground nights in Worcester and Kidderminster.
His dedication to his craft as Resolve – Pure Ascent has earned him recognition in the trance music community.
Now stepping back into the spotlight with a renewed focus on trance music, Resolve played his first Ibiza gigs at Rio during Classic Trance Week in September. He’s also connecting with grassroots trance communities across the UK, and released his debut single on Reason II Rise with more signed for release in 2026.
With each performance, Resolve – Pure Ascent aims to create unforgettable experiences for his audience.
