Ronny K. – Trance4nations

Ronny was born on August 1, 1974, in Třinec, Czech Republic. His journey into music began in 1991 when he started learning to DJ under the mentorship of seasoned professionals. After four years of honing his skills, Ronny transformed his passion into a career and began producing his own tracks. His early projects, including Exhibit, Sonic Empire, and FM FACTORY, launched in 1997 and marked the beginning of his success.

By 2003, Ronny had discovered his love for house music and teamed up with a friend to create The Weekend Project, focusing on this vibrant genre. In 2004 and 2005, he became captivated by uplifting trance and began producing tracks in that style. His talents extended to television and radio as well, where he contributed to interactive platforms like Fun1, creating music graphics, jingles, and signatures.

A pivotal moment came in 2006 when he relocated from Prague to London. On November 30, that same year, a milestone was achieved when his track “Eddie Sender vs. Ronny K, Singularity” was played by Armin van Buuren on the world-renowned trance radio show “A State Of Trance.” This made Ronny K the first Czech producer to be featured on the show.

In 2008, he launched the “Trance4nations” show on Afterhours FM, which quickly gained popularity. A highlight of his career came when his track “Morning Light” was chosen as the anthem for the monumental AH.FM EOYC event. His track “Seashore” also received recognition, signed by Magic Island/Armada. By 2009, Ronny was voted the #1 DJ by AH.FM listeners, surpassing notable names like Aly and Fila and Sean Tyas. His productions garnered support from trance heavyweights such as Meno De Jong, Sean Tyas, Manuel Le Saux, Roger Shah, Pedro Del Mar, Woody Van Eyden, Alex Morph, Jorn Van Deynhovenand even Armin van Buuren.

2010 began on a high note with the release of the Official AH.FM Anthem, “Morning Light,” which was supported by Armin on ASOT 435 and voted as the Future Favourite. This was followed by “The Emotion EP,” featuring tracks that received airplay on ASOT. In 2011, Ronny’s productions continued to flourish alongside tracks released on his new label, Motiv8 Recordings, which launched on his birthday.

The year 2012 promised further success with high-quality uplifting productions, including a reinterpretation of Samuel Barber’s “Adagio For Strings,” premiered at the Luminosity Beach Festival. In 2013, he performed at notable events in Italy, Spain, Hungary, and the Netherlands, including the Luminosity Trance Gathering.

In 2014, a new chapter began when Ronny moved from London to Bristol. This transition brought significant changes to his career as he took a break from performing to focus on audio services like mixing and mastering for top artists signed to Armada Music and other prestigious labels. Despite stepping back from the limelight, his passion for music remained strong, and he continued producing in his free time.

Ronny always had an open mind and tried himself in alternative music styles. He had a few experiments in different genres and released his tracks under the P.A.R.A.L.A.X project.

A fortuitous collaboration with Andrej Komatovic (Andy Blueman) led to finishing one of Andy’s unfinished tracks, “Away From The Sun,” a rewarding experience for Ronny. As music production became a fulfilling hobby, he self-released his work and collaborated with several Czech producers, including his longtime friend Eddie Sender.
In 2023, the founder of AH.FM reached out to Ronny about reinstating his “Trance4nations” show. Initially hesitant, Ronny ultimately agreed to the show’s comeback in the latter part of 2024, signaling an exciting new phase in his career.
