Slipcode & Chalmers – Source Code
Slipcode & Chalmers is a Techno, Trance and Psy Duo from the UK formed in 2021 by slipcode and Julian Chalmers. Slipcode started Dj’ing in 2018 at the Lisa Lashes School of Music. Having started off listening to HipHop and Electro whilst at school, slipcode was introduced to electronic sampled music in the early 80’s with groups such as Kraftwerk and The Art of Noise being prominent in his playlist.
Being hooked on loops, beats and samples, it was inevitable that slipcode would make his way through the 80’s synth beats and into Acid House and dived head first into the 90’s Rave scene. Attending infamous named events by ESP-Dreamscape, Fantasia, World Dance and Raindance, becoming addicted to the thumping bass from huge sound systems and the never ending energy from the DJ’s. Late 90’s and 2000’s bought Hard House, Trance/Psy and Techno to slipcode’s attention.
Slipcode played many live streams during lockdown and has gone on to play events around the UK for various brands including his own ‘ignition’, TechnoPulse, Trance Unleashed and PaSSion.
Slipcode is a resident at Afterhours.fm, Techno Connection, Trance Unleashed and his own brand ignition.
Julian has been Dj’ing for a few years across a variety of genres and has played events in Brazil, France, the Netherlands and the UK. Julian is primarily a Trance DJ but enjoys mixing Techno and is also known to like a bit of Progressive and Uplifting House too.
Julian started off in the early 2000’s playing House in local clubs and slowly moved to Trance and more recently Techno. Julian is a resident at Afterhours.fm, Technoconnection and ignition.
