Ric Aires, a rising star in the realm of electronic dance music, was born amidst the vibrant rhythms of Kolkata, West Bengal, India. His deep-rooted connection with music was ignited from an early age, sparked by the captivating beats of electronic melodies that would shape his musical journey.
Introduced to the enchanting sounds of ATB’s “9 PM” and Alice Deejay’s “Better Off Alone” by his uncle, Ric’s fascination with trance music took hold. These tracks marked the beginning of a lifelong exploration into the genre. With a hunger for sonic discovery, Ric delved further, discovering luminaries like DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, and Armin van Buuren during visits to Music World.
Inspired by the trance legends who came before him, Ric’s passion for the genre led him to become a skilled Trance/Progressive DJ and producer. At just 17 years old, he took to the decks, honing his skills through private parties and select club performances. His sets resonated deeply, garnering attention from both dance enthusiasts and international record labels.
Ric’s commitment to his craft resulted in collaborations with esteemed vocalist Jodie, yielding tracks that seamlessly blend captivating melodies with entrancing vocals. His musical creations found homes in renowned labels such as Abora Recordings, Entrancing Music, and Redux Recordings, showcasing his undeniable creative prowess.
Drawing inspiration from iconic figures like DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, and ATB, Ric Aires crafts his own distinctive sonic identity. His music weaves a tapestry of emotions through uplifting melodies, embodying the very essence of trance. Beyond the studio and stage, Ric engages intimately with his audience through his active presence on social media.
