About Technology

Technology is built around the connection between techno and trance. Each edition can move from hypnotic, rhythm-driven material into more melodic or energetic trance sections without losing the momentum of the mix.

Psy-influenced sounds add another layer of intensity, giving the programme room to become darker or more driving when the set develops toward peak-time territory.

Why Techno and Trance Fit the Format

Techno brings repetition, pressure and groove, while trance contributes melody, build and release. Combining the two creates a wider emotional and rhythmic range than either style alone.

That contrast helps Technology move between hypnotic and euphoric sections while keeping the overall mix energetic and coherent.

A Club-Focused Monthly Format

The monthly structure gives Technology room to reflect Simon Davies’ wider club background. A single edition can move through hypnotic techno, driving trance and psy-influenced sounds while keeping the emphasis on momentum and dancefloor energy.

That variety makes the programme suitable for listeners who like electronic music with a tougher edge but still want the melodic build and release associated with trance.
